Masterfully handcrafted by our artisan partners in Indonesia, our Kalmar Collection is thoughtfully pieced together from slices of teak heartwood and sapwood affixed to solid wood frames. Each hand-cut section of teak is carefully sanded, smoothed, waxed, and sealed by hand to enhance its natural variations in wood tones, grain patterns, texture, and shape—making it truly one of a kind.
- Typical of natural teak wood, organic shapes, cracks, and patinas will continue to develop over time. Splits, knots, joint lines, and other features add distinct character to each piece without affecting its quality or performance.
- Floating construction allows individual heartwood sections to naturally expand and contract.
